National Covid Memorial - Commission for Artistic Engagement Process

Greenspace Scotland (on behalf of The Herald Covid Memorial Steering Group) is seeking to commission an artist to engage creatively with communities (both geographic and of interest) to co-design an artistic statement and concept to inform the development of a National Memorial in Pollok Country Park, Glasgow and that could be utilised by communities and other organisations in greenspaces in Scotland. Full details within the brief/specification (see additional documentation). The emphasis is on identifying an individual artist/artistic partnership who approaches the commission in an imaginative and sensitive way. The first stage in responding to the brief is to submit an Expression of Interest outlining: initial response to the brief, artist's statement of practice and evidence of previous practice. Short-listed artists will be invited to submit a full proposal.
