Tender description

The proposed research will review (and where possible improve/refine) current rapid screening methods for the mycotoxin T2 and its metabolites in cereals for human consumption. The relevant cereal processing sector in both jurisdictions on the island of Ireland will be updated on their suitability and use and the potential for extending recommendations to primary producers to update their GAP will be reviewed based on the data. Industry focused resources will be generated focusing on the management of feed and food to avoid T2 mycotoxin contamination (and potentially extending to general mycotoxin control as well).
