Tender description

Cardiff University requires a20kW 3-phase 4-quadrant galvanic isolated power amplifier. The power amplifier is required to work with RTDS for the power hardware-in-the-loop application with 4-quadrant operation capability. Full range of power rating with directional power flow is required for this power amplifier. AC/DC operation mode is desired. It must be a three-phase power amplifier with galvanic isolation. Internal isolated current and voltage sensors must be installed. Power supply is rated at 3*400 Vrms+Neutral+Earth. Power rating is required to be at least 20 kVA in a total of three phases. Output voltage is up to 400 v at AC mode and 300 V at DC mode. Small-signal frequency is up to 5000 Hz. Protection of the power amplifier must be provided including overcurrent, short circuit, wrong configuration etc. Control unit in the power amplifier must be well isolated and protected from the fault.
