WSCC - JS - CCS Vehicle Purchase - Lot 6 - 35 x Fire FDS Vehicles - AWARD

Tender description

The Council is seeking to purchase 35 x Flexi Duty System (FDS) vehicles with Blue Light Conversion to support staff as part of their operational duties. Currently, eligible staff are provided with Hyundai IX35 vehicles (purchased in 2014) that are approaching the end of their operational life. The purpose of this RFQ is to seek quotes for a replacement vehicle that will continue to meet their needs as operational staff. The replacement vehicles will be subject to a blue light conversion that includes the installation of sirens, lighting and communication equipment. The Council is looking for a 'turn-key' solution with the winning bidder expected to coordinate this element using sub-contractors or their own internal supply chain. The goods under the contract are described in detail in Attachment 02 the Specification. The delivery of the vehicles can be discussed with the winning bidder but the preference is for phased delivery over a number week, approximately 5 per week, with delivery completed by 31st March 2020
