Support for families bereaved by suicide: pilot evaluation

Tender description

Social research services sought to conduct and evaluation of pilots of a suicide bereavement support service. Procurement of social research services to conduct an evaluation of a pilot support service for families bereaved by suicide. The pilot suicide bereavement support service forms part of the delivery of Scotland’s Suicide Prevention Action Plan, specifically Action 4, the provision of timely and effective support for those affected by suicide. The service will be piloted in two geographical areas for a period of two years commencing in April 2021. There will be national management and support of the service in the two pilot areas with locally specific support offered in each area. The aim of the evaluation is to provide the Scottish Government with timely, robust information on the implementation and delivery of the pilots, including the potential for scale up and sustainability, and to inform decisions on further roll out of the pilot service.
