Tender description

The Scotland 5G Centre hosted by the University of Strathclyde is looking to select a strategic partner(s) for the provision of 3 5G innovation Hubs. Each Hub will be regionally relevant, ensuring the benefits of 5G will help and improve the connectivity for the local communities and businesses. The initial priority of the S5GConnect programme is to have 3 hubs open in May 2021. Interested Parties should note that the estimated value detailed below (in section II.1.5 of this notice) is per Hub. S5GC is seeking a partner to work alongside us in establishing an innovation Hub. Each S5GConnect Hub will be managed through The Scotland 5G Centre, co-ordinating the services offered and facilitated. S5GC will seek support to provide the full complement of services for creation of a pipeline for accelerator adoption. The partner will be expected to engage with SME’s and Businesses to generate an ecosystem surrounding one Innovation Hub. To facilitate this, the supplier will be expected to be able include additional services ‘fit for purpose’ which may include the following: - Support S5GC with the marketing, promotion and advertisement the hubs - Support local businesses and wider eco-system to develop their ideas and concepts - Engage with the key business sectors in the region including SMEs - Work with S5GC to prepare a sustainable business model - Provide a minimum of two use cases that will be used to stimulate engagement around the hub location. The use cases will be mutually agreed but relevant to the sector focus of the innovation hub. - Support the development of further use cases, services and applications. - Provide support to events, webinars, breakfast meets etc. - Provide support for production of whitepapers, use cases material, digital content. Etc, - Provide content and support for the delivery of our S5GConnect Programme. (A series of events that will engage and raise awareness of 5G and its application to the sector) - Provide support through Awareness, Evaluate and Enablement phases of the programme. This should include project management, business engagement, technical resources, mentoring etc. - Provide support for competitions, where SME’s will be selected to engage with the programme.
