Employment Related Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Services for the HSA

Tender description

The Authority is seeking to procure a professional entity to provide Employment Related Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Services. The successful contractor will assume responsibility for providing direct service delivery as well as expert advice and assistance and will work closely with the Head of Human Resources and Change Management. The function of the service will be to support the organisation in meeting the legal requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and in establishing practices and procedures which represent best practice in the area of occupational health, safety and wellbeing at work. The successful contractor will provide a range of services in the following general areas: • Delivery of Pre-Employment Medical Assessments services • Delivery of Sickness Medical Assessments services • Delivery of Statutory Health Surveillance services • Delivery of Health Screening Campaigns • Provision of Employee Wellbeing Campaigns • Provision of Workplace and work-related immunisations service • Provision of advice in relation to compliance and operational best practice as regards meeting the legal requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. The successful tenderer will be required to supply services in all areas involved including occupational health, occupational medicine, organisational psychology, fitness to work assessments, ergonomic assessments, Ill health retirements assessments, DSE Workstation assessments, manual handling, vaccinations, occupational first aid and proactive activities in the area of health promotion expanding into the wider concept of workplace health promotion. There will of course be the normal services on demand required by an organisation, such as the Health and Safety Authority including pre-employment medical assessments and other occasional medical examinations of staff
