Election polling station equipment delivery and collection

Tender description

The Council invites quotations for the provision of Election polling station equipment delivery and collection. The Council is legally required to appoint an Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and Returning Officer (RO) to deliver electoral registration and run elections in the borough in accordance with statutory requirements. Electoral Services, part of the Resources department, supports the ERO/RO. At every election the RO uses a contractor to deliver specified equipment to the 150 polling stations used in the borough, collecting the equipment after the election. There will be additional logistical support at some elections, including the transportation of ballot boxes to the e-counting venue at GLA elections. The contractor will provide the specified transportation services for all elections in Croydon until June 2024. The duration of the contract is 3 years, subject to the right of The Council (at its sole discretion) to exercise its right to extend the Contract by up to 2. The maximum length of the contract is therefore 5 years.
