Tender description

Design and project management services for the construction of an extension to the Galway Technology Centre. Galway Technology Centre DAC proposes to build a Four Storey Extension to the existing Galway Technology Centre, at the Mervue Business Park, Wellpark Road, Galway. Planning permission has being obtained from Galway City Council for the construction of a four storey extension at the rear of the existing building to provide new office accommodation, meeting rooms, canteen and toilet facilities. The service provider is to project manage the works such that disruption to the existing offices is minimised. Programming and sequencing of the works is a critical element in this regard. The service provider is to include for all interactions with third parties such as local authorities, utility providers, Mervue Business Park Management and neighbouring businesses with a legitimate interest. The integrated design team services will cover the following disciplines: (a) architectural services; (b) quantity surveying services; (c) civil and structural engineering services; (d) mechanical and electrical engineering services; (e) fire safety consultant; (f) project supervisor for the design process; (g) related professional services e.g. 1) Universal Access Services; 2) Interior Designer; 3) Acoustic Consultant; 4) Lighting Consultant; 5) AV/ICT Consultant; 6) Occupational Health and Safety Consultant.
