SMIP Industry Specialist Services Work Package

Tender description

This work package will consist of the provision of a team of resources combining: • External retail energy market sector specialists, and • Project specialists with relevant skills and experience to fill an immediate resource gap in the Net Zero delivery area. The requirement is to establish immediately a Strategic Delivery Team (SDT) to be stood up and embedded in BEIS to monitor delivery, ensure appropriate tracking, monitoring and proactive risk management of delivery efforts across BEIS in relation to Net Zero, and to provide supporting analysis and strategic insight to the BEIS Net Zero Portfolio Sponsor and BEIS Net Zero Delivery Board. Key Deliverables: 1. A defined Net Zero portfolio for BEIS (ET&CG); 2. Establishment and running of Net Zero Delivery Board; 3. Initial BEIS Net Zero Portfolio Plan and supporting cross-portfolio RAID management; 4. Assistance with SDT recruitment and handover; 5. Establishment and running of Strategic Delivery Team (including resource to lead the SDT); 6. Strategic insights and analysis arising from the portfolio data to support the BEIS Net Zero Portfolio Sponsor; 7. Improved visibility of resourcing across the portfolio to aid decision-making in relation to delivery; and 8. SDT Knowledge transfer.
