Road Condition Survey for Derryadd Winf Farm

Bord Na Móna Powergen Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bord Na Mona plc, intends to construct a wind farm consisting of 24 wind turbine generators and associated infrastructure on a c.1908 Ha site in South County Longford, Ireland. The site spans three bogs, namely from north to south, Derryaroge, Derryadd and Lough Bannow and is located approximately 10 kilometres southwest of Longford Town at its nearest point. The towns of Lanesborough and Ballymahon are located approximately 3.0 kilometres west and 9.0 kilometres southeast of the site respectively. PQQ pertains to the following: The project has now entered the pre-construction phase and as part of these activities Bord na Móna Powergen are seeking expressions of interest to undertake a Road Conditions Survey pre and post construction including: - Road Surface Profiler (RSP) and Visual Conditions Survey of the proposed haul route comprising of a combination of RSP Survey and Visual Pre-Condition Survey - Analysis of results and completion of Technical Reports for each RSP and Visual Road Condition Survey - Completion of structural evaluation tests in identified locations along the haul route - Completion of structural evaluation technical reports The detailed Road Condition Reports are to be produced to the best industry standards for the proposed Derryadd Wind Farm. The total length of road to be assessed in the RSP and Visual Road Condition Survey is approximately 78km kilometres of two-way road (or 156 km of carriageway). However this will be finalised at tender stage. The Visual Road Condition Survey report will be used to determine the quantitiy of structural testing to be undertaken.
