The ambition is for the Council to work with partners to obtain better financial benefit for the Council but also deliver local economic, social and environmental benefit into Cornwall. We want to develop a blueprint for a way forward that connects all of the Council’s five asset classes and create opportunities for using our assets better. The development of a blueprint will include recommendations on how best to structure the functionality to ensure the ambition is delivered. Below is an outline of the issues we are trying to resolve: 1. There is ambition with a draft property strategy/asset management strategies written however the capacity and capability to deliver is not co-ordinated 2. The direction of travel and commissioning of property based opportunities is unstructured 3. Functionality and management of the Council’s assets is disjointed which makes governance and decision making frustrating
