Tender description

Wakefield Council is seeking to establish a framework agreement (6 lots) for the provision of specialist equipment for installation in service users homes, including servicing and repairs. This will cover all tenure types within the Wakefield district and could be funded directly through the authority or by a DFG available to a service user. Lot 1: stairlifts (straight and curved); Lot 2: ceiling track hoists; Lot 3: steplifts (up to 1 metre in travel and up to 2 metres in travel; Lot 4: through floor lifts (hydraulic, traction and side hung); Lot 5: service and maintenance of hoists out of manufacturer’s warranty; Lot 6: service and maintenance of lifts out of manufacturer’s warranty. It is anticipated that one supplier will be awarded to each lot however suppliers can bid for one or more lots. The contract will commence 1 April 2021, initially for 3 years with option to extend for further 12 months. The prices will be fixed for the initial 3-year term and any extension. Provision and installation of Stairlifts (straight and curved) into service users homes, including servicing and repairs. The authority may request the supplier to remove, re-install and/or repair equipment that is out of warranty as additional services. The Council is looking to appoint one supplier for this lot. Provision and installation of Ceiling Track Hoists into service users homes, including servicing and repairs. This will cover all tenure types within the Wakefield district and could be funded directly through the authority or by a DFG available to a service user. The authority may request the supplier to remove, re-install and/or repair equipment that is out of warranty as additional services. The Council is looking to appoint one supplier for this lot. The successful provider must be able to provide all of the services which will be described in more detail in the tender documents to be published under the call for competition. Provision and installation of step lifts (up to 1 and 2 metres in travel) into service users homes, including servicing and repairs. This will cover all tenure types within the Wakefield district and could be funded directly through the authority or by a DFG available to a service user. The authority may request the supplier to remove, re-install and/or repair equipment that is out of warranty as additional services. The Council is looking to appoint one supplier for this lot. The successful provider must be able to provide all of the services which will be described in more detail in the tender documents to be published under the call for competition. Provision and installation of Through Floor Lifts (hydraulic, traction and side hung) into service users homes, including servicing and repairs. This will cover all tenure types within the Wakefield district and could be funded directly through the authority or by a DFG available to a service user. The authority may request the supplier to remove, re-install and/or repair equipment that is out of warranty as additional services. The Council is looking to appoint one supplier for this lot. The successful provider must be able to provide all of the services which will be described in more detail in the tender documents to be published under the call for competition. II.2.5) Award criteria. Provision of a full 24 hours, 7 days a week call out facility to undertake both routine maintenance/servicing of Hoist equipment which is out of warranty as well as 6 monthly inspections in line with LOLER. The Council is looking to appoint one supplier for this lot. The successful provider must be able to provide all of the services which will be described in more detail in the tender documents to be published under the call for competition. Provision of a full 24 hours, 7 days a week call out facility to undertake both routine maintenance/servicing of lift equipment that is out of warranty as well as 6 monthly inspections in line with LOLER.
