Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) is inviting a Civil/Structural Engineer registered on Constructionline to be Lead Consultant of an Integrated Consultant Team (ICT), to submit a Tender through the E-TenderNI portal. The consultant will procure, administer and supervise any specialist survey and investigatory work required to undertake their commission, while Council will pay for the services of the appointed specialist surveying and investigatory contractors separately. Following on from the initial inspection and assessment work, the consultants will report on their findings. The ICT will include the following consultants and services as a minimum: • Civil/Structural Engineer and Lead Consultant, • River/Hydraulic Engineer, • Principal Designer, • Cost Consultant/Quantity Surveyor, • Environmental Consultant, • Site Supervisor, • any other consultant the Lead Consultant deems necessary to complete the scope of services required for the successful completion of this commission. The commission will comprise all services necessary to deliver the project from Stage 0 to 7 of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 for a bridge replacement and path improvements at Footstick, Park. 1.2 Background During the widespread, severe flooding event of August 2017 the pedestrian footbridge at Footstick, Park, was entirely washed away, as was the pedestrian path approaching the bridge from the Altinure Road. 1.3 Budget Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) has secured a budget for the construction of a replacement footbridge and improving access to the new bridge from both the Altinure Road (i.e. an Asserted Public Right of Way) and the car park at Learmount Country Park. A £200,000.00 (excluding VAT) inclusive of design fees, statutory charges, survey/investigation costs and contingency sums. Please see CfT documents for further detail
