Endoscopy Air Handling Unit Upgrade at Good Hope Hospital

Good Hope Hospital has an external situated Air Handling Unit which feeds Endoscopy on Treatment centre roof. We are looking to upgrade the AHU for compliance and repairs to bring the AHU upto date with upgraded controls and motors and fans and to improve the BMS system with this AHU. Specification: This Tender will be: • to remove the existing extended shaft supply fan, the extract fan, and replace with a new, plug fans and motors assembly, including a spare drive motors for storage on site. • Replace all door seals • remove the supply air inlet filters and replace with stainless steel, washable units to prevent collapse of the filters. • supply and install new extract air filter frames, bulkheads and filters to improve the air flow thorough the unit. • The new fans would be mounted in a purpose made bulkhead, and would comprise a welded, coated, backward curved impellor mounted directly onto a drive motor via a drive shaft capable of a minimum of 25% overrating of the maximum speed of the unit. The assembly would be fitted with inlet cone, flexible connection, bearing unit and motor all mounted on a steelwork base. The whole assembly being statically and dynamically balanced in accordance with DIN ISO 1940. The drive motor would EFF2 type and must be inverter controlled. • Must be compliant to HTM 03-01 • A spare drive motor would be supplied with each fan for storage on site. • Each of the units would be fitted with inlet/exhaust cowls, the supply air inlet cowl being fitted over the existing inlet eliminator plates and the outlet cowl replacing the outlet flaps. • supply air requirements of 4.2 m3/s. • Extract air requirements of 3.4 m3/s.
