Cemetery and Crematorium Maintenance

Cemetery and Cremation Services Lot 1: Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council's contract for Grave Digging and Grounds Maintenance expires at the end of May 2022 and we are looking to engage with potential bidders on the scope of a new contract. The Council is the process on building a new crematorium and is seeking market views on how this operation can be integrated into a new contract. The scope of a future service could include: • Grave digging • Grass and hedge cutting • Specialist horticultural works • Operation of the cremators • Management of the crematorium • Facilities Management (of the new crematorium). The contract is also likely to include the fitting out of an operational depot. We are seeking potential bidders views on the scope and duration of the contract and have slots available on 11th March 2021to meet (on MS Teams) with the market place.
