Tender description

Statsbygg requests, in connection with project: No.: 1025903 and 1179602 Name: Ila Prison and Detention Centre, renovation of the technical installations and the National Reinforced Joint Department (NFFA) For tenders for the following consultancy assignments: — Technical Builder Ombudsman and ITB Manager. Statsbygg (the Directorate of Public Construction and Property) has been tasked by Justis- og beredskapsdepartementet (the Ministry of Justice and Public Security) (JD) to renovate the technical facilities in parts of the buildings at Ila Prison and Detention Centre. The project includes rehabilitation of technical facilities in the Main Building, South Block and Annex (option), as well as installation of toilets in cells, replacement of cell doors and rehabilitation of windows (option) in the Main Building. The main building has 4 storeys and combined amounts to approx. 6 000 m2. The south block has 4 storeys and combined amounts to approx. 3 000 m2. The annex has 2 storeys and amounts to approx. 620 m2. The buildings consist of cells, toilets, showers and communal rooms for employees, as well as offices and guard rooms for employees. The exception is the fourth storey of the main building which is used for administration and health services. Parts of the property are subject to protection, i.a. the main building is protected. The protection includes the exterior, as well as some of the interior: main entrance and the central part of the first storey, ‘the Chapel’ and hall ‘the Parachute’ on the fourth storey. Also, the Annex is partially or completely protected. It has been decided that Ila Prison and Detection Centre will be closed down during the construction phase. In addition, JD has given Statsbygg the task of constructing a new building for the National Reinforced Joint Department (NFFA). The project is a new buliding within the perimeter fence at Ila Prison and Detention Centre. The new building makes up approx. 550 m2 split between a ground floor and a technical room on the 1st floor. There will be a total of 6 cells with the accompanying support functions.
