Orkney Islands Council (“the Authority”) has a requirement for the provision of kerbside collections and associated services, the majority of these provided as a statutory requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (As Amended), for domestic and commercial wastes arising on the islands of Eday, Sanday, Stronsay, North Ronaldsay, Papa Westray, Rousay Egilsay and Wyre within the Orkney Island Group. Lot 1: Provision of Kirbside Collection and Associated Services for the Island Eday Orkney Islands Council (“the Authority”) has a requirement for the provision of kerbside collections and associated services, the majority of these provided as a statutory requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (As Amended), for domestic and commercial wastes arising on the The contractor will be required to provide “kerbside” collections, including the delivery of associated consumables to service users, and other services for the Islands of Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre. Lot 2: Provision of Kerbside Collection and Associated Services for Sanday Orkney Islands Council (“the Authority”) has a requirement for the provision of kerbside collections and associated services, the majority of these provided as a statutory requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (As Amended), for domestic and commercial wastes arising on the islands of Westray within the Orkney Island Group. In summary these services to comprise, the provision of weekly ‘kerbside’ domestic, commercial and litter bin residual waste collections, provide scheduled special collections of ‘bulky’ waste items and the supply and delivery of consumables to enable service provision and service user participation.
