Consultancy Services for Ardfinnan Bridge Options Assessment Report

Tender description

The existing footpath provision on Ardfinnan Bridge is of a temporary nature defined by water bollards which impose a one way traffic arrangement on the bridge, this system has been in place since 2015. The bridge does not have sufficient width to accommodate a two-way vehicle carriageway and a compliant footpath. Tipperary County Council require a technical consultant to identify all available options to provide a safe pedestrian and cyclist route across the bridge. The primary objective of the project is to develop the options assessment report in accordance with the National Transport Authority (NTA) Project Approval Guidelines (December 2021). The purpose of the options assessment report is to develop the project concept through options assessment, including appraisal of the alternatives and selection of preferred options.
