The Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commission and Handover to Operational Staff of a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) for the Materials Research Facility at Culham Science Centre. Lot 1: LOT 1 - Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) The Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commission and Handover to Operational Staff of a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) for the Materials Research Facility at Culham Science Centre. The main research activities of this TEM will be the characterising of nuclear materials, activated and non-activated. Lot 2: LOT 2 - Plasma Focused Ion Beam (PFIB) The Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commission, Handover to Operational Staff of a Plasma Focused Ion Beam (PFIB) at the MRF facility at Culham Science Centre The system should be capable of; Micromachining with high milling rates Sample liftout (size reduction) Tomography with analytical (EDX, EBSD) capability Preparation of specimens for transmission electron microscopy while minimising FIB-induced damage, atom probe tomography (APT) and micromechanical testing on radioactive materials.
