Health Education England are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to British Dietetic Association (BDA.) The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. HEE is looking to commission British Dietetic Associate (BDA) to work with the HEE Maternity & CYP Team to develop a digital training offer to support MDT clinicians working in Children with Excess Weight Clinics (CEW Clinics) HEE believes that it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be able to provide the relevant skills and expertise to carry out this review for the following reasons: • Founded in 1936, BDA are one of the oldest and most experienced dietetic organisations in the UK • The British Dietetic Association (BDA) is the only body in the UK representing the whole of the dietetic workforce. • In 1983 Her Majesty the Queen honoured the Association by graciously accepting an invitation to grant her patronage to the British Dietetic Association. • The NHS Long Term Plan (2019) specifically outlines the requirement to work with the Royal Colleges and professional bodies of which BDA is the only one representing the whole of the dietetic workforce.
