Furniture for Relocation of Coroners Service to Pydar House

Tender description

The Coroners Service is a Statutory function of the Authority which has been using temporary facilities in New County Hall since vacating Truro Town hall upon commencement of the Hall for Cornwall project. This has led to an inability to provide consistent and appropriate facilities for in person hearings. This issue has been mitigated by use of virtual hearing during the pandemic but there is a clear need to return to in person hearings at the earliest possible time. Suitable accommodation has been identified in Pydar House, indeed the service has now moved to the building to hold its virtual meetings. Investment is required to facilitate a return to ‘in person’ hearings in the new accommodation and costs have been established
