Welcome Back Fund Planting

Tender description

Please find attached documents necessary to price for the above tender. The project is a district wide programme of replacement of bedding to existing planters, shrub beds with addition of new planting beds, planters and hanging baskets. Bradford Council has secured Welcome Back Fund from the Government’s Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to deliver activity and interventions to draw residents and visitors back to high streets to help drive the recovery. A key driver for this is support for small businesses on the high street that have been impacted by the Covid-19 restrictions. The timescales for the funding are quite tight and award will need to be made early in the new year to allow purchase of planters, including leads times from suppliers to undertake work with completion 31st March 2022. Submitted tenders will be assessed in accordance with the criteria set out in the tender documentation with key dates set out in the programme below.
