Support at Home Through The Night Service

<p>Tameside Council have operated an Approved List of Support at Home Providers since 2006. Initially this included allocated zoned providers delivering day and evening support to specific areas in the borough. However, the delivery of this service has evolved over this time and includes delivery of some through the night service support which sits alongside the Councils in house provision for this specific element of care. The service is provided for individuals who are a resident in Tameside, are aged 18 or over and have been assessed by the Commissioner as requiring the service in accordance with the Care Act 2014. The current approved list for support at home providers is due end in October 2022 with a new contract to be considered for commencement from November 2022 to March 2029. Current delivery of a through the night round is approximately 160 hrs per week supporting 15 individuals per week across the borough of Tameside. This could fluctuate and the commissioners are keen to understand the risks, costs and viability in operating a through the night round whether this be a single provider who does not deliver any other services or who delivers services as part of the approved list of support at home. We would like to take the opportunity to undertake a `soft market testing&rsquo; exercise as outlined below, to determine the shaping of services and procurement exercise going forward.</p> Keywords: Service user, Independent Living, Support plan, Through the night
