Summary of the work Know your way round SQL, phpMyAdmin, cPanel, Wordpress? Please help with moving our microsite and wp_posts from our old server to our new server hosted by 123reg? Specialist role Developer Latest start date Saturday 15 January 2022 Who Speclialist Work With You'll be working with the PR & Comms Manager who reports to the IT committee on this project. What Specialists Work On Merge wp_posts from old company wordpress.org website to new company wordpress.org website using SQL backup files. And Move a wordpress microsite to new company website on a different server using a backup (test run will be needed to ensure smooth migration. Migration will need to happen in the evening to avoid interruption of service to regular users). Success is achieved when posts from the old website appear on the new website (new website already live), and when the microsite works on the new server & domain. Host is 123reg, with cPanel. Skills & Experience • be able to restore a wordpress site from a sql backup • be able to merge two wp_posts SQL (as in, site contents pages and posts) and associated databases (metadata,users, categories) • test the restored/moved wordpress site with a copy first (to identify any unforeseen issues, and ensure smooth transition for the real move date) • know how to work with SQL, phpMyAdmin, Wordpress, cPanel Work Location Our office is based at Chelmsford in Essex but due to covid, remote working is encouraged. remote working is preferred for this project.
