WLHSCP are re-opening the flexible framework for the Short Breaks (Respite) at Home and in the Community (CC11527) to support and sustain the caring relationship and in doing so meet the needs, expectations and outcomes sought for both the cared-for person and their carer. This is with a view to enabling the carer to have a break whilst at the same time enabling the person requiring care to remain at home avoiding or delaying the need for possible admission to an alternative care environment or the need for increased levels of intervention wherever possible. Lot 1: WLHSCP are re-opening the flexible framework for the Short Breaks (Respite) at Home and in the Community (CC11527) to support and sustain the caring relationship and in doing so meet the needs, expectations and outcomes sought for both the cared-for person and their carer. This is with a view to enabling the carer to have a break whilst at the same time enabling the person requiring care to remain at home avoiding or delaying the need for possible admission to an alternative care environment or the need for increased levels of intervention wherever possible. West Lothian Council will make use of the provisions of the Light Touch Regime and intend to re-open the Framework CC11527. WLC reserve the right to re-open the Flexible Framework annually at their sole discretion to allow new providers to join the Framework. Existing providers on Framework CC11527 do not need to apply. The Framework will NOT be split into Lots and each successful bidder will be given equal opportunity to pick packages of care.
