Summary of the work The Senior Service Designer role will act as a design ambassador, championing and implementing user centred approaches to wide ranging innovation challenges. They will work on multiple projects requiring workshop facilitation, digital content production and stakeholder engagement, helping cities and organisations develop innovative solutions. Specialist role Designer Expected Contract Length 3 months Latest start date Friday 14 January 2022 Maximum Day Rate £500 ex VAT Early Market Engagement no market engagement was undertaken Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work with a diverse range of other specialists spanning future mobility, data, planning and other teams. They will report directly to the Connected Design Team Leader, and will be able to work productively with a diverse team of people and skills. What Specialists Work On The specialist will work with internal and client teams to explore future challenges relating to the built environment and mobility systems. The responsibilities will be to work on a variety of projects and challenges using design tools and techniques to discover, develop, define and deliver solutions. Specifically they will be able to; 1) Manage stakeholder engagement e.g. interviews, group discussions and workshops. 2) Conduct desk research and synthesise research inputs to inform project direction and outcomes. 3) Produce written and visual reports / presentations to share insights internally and externally. 4) Generate visual content for project outputs. Skills & Experience • be able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams • be able to understand and interpret competing technical and organisational challenges • provide concise insight to project teams Nice to Haves have experience of working in the built envrionment or advanced mobility sectors Work Location Currently the role will be remote until Government recommendation suggest otherwise. Once we return to the office, the place of business will be 1 Sekforde St, London EC1R 0BE Working Arrangments Once restrictions allow, your primary location will be London and you will be expected to work on-site approximately 1 day a week with some travel to other locations across the UK. This might change as COVID restrictions are amended. Expenses will be within your daily rate for your regular work location. Additional travel expenses will be available should you need to travel to other sites outside London.
