Medical screening services on behalf of Ofsted - Pre Market Engagement

The purpose of this PIN is to initiate market consultation and is not being used as a call for competition. The PIN is intended to: 1. Raise awareness with the market of a future procurement process and to enable time for organisations to begin early discussions with Ofsted as to how they may be able to deliver any future contract. 2. Inform the market that the Ofsted will be undertaking market engagement event on January 18 2022, to gather information about the supply market; to explore potential delivery models and associated benefits of those models; and to inform its understanding of the risks and issues relevant to managing transition to, and mobilisation of, any new service arrangements. 3. Lot 1: Ofsted seek a medical advisor to assist us in making decisions about the overall suitability of individuals involved with the running of a childcare or children’s social care service. The services of the medical screening may include but not be limited to; producing medical guidance to support Ofsted’s in-house decision making, reviewing applicant health information provided by GPs and specialists, completing further medical assessments where necessary, and providing recommendations on the impact of individual applicants’ health on their suitability to care for or be in regular contact with children. Additional information: Ofsted intends to commence it's procurement of these services under an Open competition in February 2022. Any supplier that registers their interest will be sent an information pack with more details of the requirement and the engagement event.
