Tender description

CCEA is seeking to establish a Contract with an Academic Institution (University or equivalent) to: (1) Carry out specialist research to inform the development of Language Framework. This includes: (i) Phase one Research into local and international practices in immersion education to inform the development of Language Framework for IM primary schools. (ii) Phase two Research to identify linguistic standards for Listening, Understanding and Talking, Reading and Writing in Years 1-7 of a representative sample of IM primary schools. (2) Develop an Irish Language Framework, in collaboration with CCEA and practitioners at the relevant Key Stages, which will set out key competencies in Listening, Understanding and Talking, Reading and Writing. (3) Support the implementation of the Language Framework in IM schools by assisting in providing focused support for IM Literacy Coordinators. (4) Provide full quality assurance and or quality assurance support throughout the process. The Contract will commence upon date of award for a period of 40 months.
