GB-Bath: Virgil Building Roof Access Works for the University of Bath

The proposed works comprise: In general, the works comprise the installation of a external metal staircase for roof access to the Virgil Building, formation of a new opening from Level 4 onto the roof and creation of internal corridor internally leading to the roof access point. The extent of works includes: - Make openings to roof parapets to receive metal staircases - Supply and installation of 1no. metal staircase to access high level roof - Formation of new external door opening from Level 4 - Creation of new internal corridor - Supply and installation of protection metal rails around sky lights - Supply and installation of new bird netting to accommodate new roof access at all roof levels - Reinstate building fabric, roof coverings, lightning conductors & electrical cabling including containments etc. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
