Gas Fired Heating Installations, Improvements and Repairs Works

Rykneld Homes Ltd (RHL) is seeking to appoint 2 contractors to provide gas central heating installations, improvements to existing heating installations and possible repairs to empty and occupied properties in North East Derbyshire. Bidders will deliver all works to the RHL specifications and the RHL lettable Standard. One of Rykneld Homes main corporate objectives is to 'Set our customers up to succeed'. We take pride in delivering these values to our customers lives and as such, the quality of workmanship and the resulting finished product is of the highest standard. We expect our chosen contractors to operate with the same exacting ethos. Works will be structured on a call-off basis. The contracts are two years in length with potential for a further one-year extension. Two contractors will be appointed to complement RHL's inhouse delivery team in order to ensure sufficient capacity and flexibility to allow required works to be completed in a timely manner. The successful contractors will be responsible for all aspects of the allocated works, including surveying, design when specified, and the associated repairs/maintenance/construction related undertaking. Due to the nature of the works there will be fluctuations in demand requirements, this is due to the fact that RHL cannot predict the nature of the gas central heating installation works, planned improvements or repair demand and therefore, it is only possible to provide estimated demand figures. The anticipated value of the works is estimated to be circa £700,000 per annum and will be split between the appointed contractors.
