Tender description

Do you want to be part of a programme which has supported over 8700 young people in the last 5 years to improve their future and enter employment , education or training? If the answer is yes, the DurhamWorks partnership (which includes Durham County Council and various Delivery Partners) will soon be tendering for a number of Employment Routeways to run throughout 2022 and 2023. To support this, we would welcome the opportunity to engage with providers of education, training and recruitment services via on online Teams market engagement event on Thursday 13th January 2022 between 10am and 12 noon. DurhamWorks began in December 2015 and we are excited to announce that further funding to support our young people Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) in County Durham has been secured to continue our work until December 2023. DurhamWorks has been created as the vehicle to deliver learning, training, employment, support, and development activities which are funded under European Social Fund (ESF) and Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) funding. For more general information about DurhamWorks, please visit www.durhamworks.info DurhamWorks encourages innovative and new ways of working in order to improve progression outcomes for our participants who are aged 16-24, resident in County Durham and not currently in employment, education or training. We envisage that the tenders we publish will be for 30 participants for 6 month contracted periods with options to extend in time and numbers of participants up to the end of the project. Please note that all provision we procure will need to be delivered within the geographical borders of County Durham. This session will provide an opportunity for DurhamWorks to present the proposed Employment Routeways tendering opportunities, answer any questions regarding the tendering process and gather feedback from you as deliverers. It will also provide the opportunity to network and explore the potential for consortium bids with other attendees. Please note that this opportunity to tender is primarily focused on progressing our participants into employment (excluding zero hours contracts) and any provision you offer must be able to fulfil this requirement. If you are interested in attending our event please register your interest by emailing Clare Musgrove, clare.musgrove@durham.gov.uk no later than Tuesday 11th January 2022 to receive an invitation.
Keywords: training, employment, young people
