The objectives of this work are to: - identify and describe relevant models of diversified ownership, tenure, and control; - describe the effects of diversified ownership, tenure, and control highlighting any significant benefits and drawbacks; - explain why these benefits arise, focusing particularly on the relationship between the benefits identified and the ownership structure of the model under consideration; and - highlight any lessons learned from the research that could usefully be taken into account in developing policy options for Scotland.
