Tender description

The services comprise of writing a report documenting the carbon footprint of the Irish seafood industry. This project will document in a single report, estimates of the carbon footprint for different sectors of the Irish seafood industry. This will involve Lifecycle Assessment analysis determining the carbon footprint from farm to consumer in the case of aquaculture and boat to consumer in the case of wild caught fish. An emphasis will be put on highlighting the food production, processing and/or distribution steps which generate the highest carbon footprint. This will be achieved by mapping (quantifying) carbon footprint across the seafood catch/production and distribution chains.
