Tender description

The Contract is for the provision of Birth Parents Support Service which is to be used by the Regional Adoption Agency, Adoption NoW within the Department of People. Adoption NoW represents the following local authorities, who will be utilising this Contract – • Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council • Bury Council • Oldham Borough Council • Rochdale Borough Council • Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council • The Borough Council of Bolton Adoption NoW is the Service Purchaser(s) and delivers adoption services on behalf of the six local authorities. The aims and objectives of the Service is to provide independent information, advice, intermediary services, support and counselling to birth parents and in certain cases to others including birth relatives (including birth siblings) and other relatives where they have been the predominant carer for the carer prior to adoption.
