TfWRS is at the very beginning of a transformational plan to change the quality of rail transport in Wales. Significant investment in a new and upgraded fleet will be backed by up to date and integrated systems to deliver the quality and responsiveness necessary to satisfy the expectations of the Welsh Government. The implementation of a new Stock and Crew management solution is a strategic and cornerstone element of the back-office changes. This will cover the requirements for Train Planning, Stock and Crew Resourcing and On-the-Day Control and operational management. Our requirement is to create a fully integrated suite of systems which provides an improved capability for planning, rostering and managing the train service across the whole TfWRS network.
