Caerphilly County Borough Council Social Services, Adult Services has the requirement for a Mental Health Pathways to Employment Service to enable people with a mental health issue to have appropriate support in order to access an effective range of opportunities that will promote involvement in – Paid Employment Supported Employment Vocational Training Volunteering Opportunities In summary, the Pathways to Employment Service will provide: Vocational assessments. Job Matching that involves the individual in the process Personalised Individual Work Development Plans. Access to a range of work related opportunities. Job Coaching model of support if appropriate Appropriate support following employment and for a period afterwards agreed with the individual. Regular review of arrangements Any associated risk assessment and management plans to support involvement and engagement in the work environment The Pathways to Employment Service provides a specialised service for people with mental health issues who wish to remain or return to the open labour market. The service will prepare people with mental health issues to retain employment or access employment and vocational opportunities through structured work activity and/or relevant training.
