Productivity East has a dual role, both to prepare future graduates better for the fast-moving world of digital engineering and manufacture, and to support local engineering businesses to access advanced technology and know-how within the University to boost economic activity in the region. To support these aims, the University of East Anglia is inviting interested parties to tender for the supply of equipment and software for the purposes of education, research and demonstration in the areas of advanced modelling, design, prototyping, processing, manufacture, testing and evaluation. Bidders can bid for more than 1 Lot in this procurement. Product design jetting machine, with outer build dimensions of at least 250 x 250 (or 250 diameter, for circular platters) x 180 mm3, with at least the following capabilities: — Colourless, transparent resin option, — PANTONE-validated colours, — Simultaneous print of 4 or more materials/colours, — Less than 20 micron layer thickness with variable print texture. Prototyping/manufacturing crossover FDM machine, with outer build dimensions of 350 x 350 (or 350 diameter, for circular platters) x 250 mm3 or greater, with at least the following material options: — PLA, — ABS, — Nylon 66, — TPU elastomer. Production-quality FDM machine, with outer build dimensions of 400 x 400 (or 400 diameter, for circular platters) x 350 mm3 or greater, with at least the following material options: — ABS, — Nylon 12, — Nylon 12 with carbon fibre reinforcement, — ISO 10993 and USP Class VI bio-compatible ABS and Polycarbonate, — FST-certified Polyetherimide.
