Tender description

North Ayrshire Council required an 8 month contract for Organic Waste Treatment Services arising from the Council’s Organic Waste Collection Services. Approximately 11,500 tonnes during this period with seasonal adjustments. Service Provider must be able to treat up to 600 tonnes per week in growing season. Suitably qualified service provider must be able to treat mixed organic waste (garden/food comingled) to British Standard PAS100. Uplift and accept Organic Waste arising from the Councils services in bulk loads as required from the Councils designated Reception Point (for onward transport to the Organic Waste Treatment Facility used by the Service provider). Treatment of the Councils Organic Waste at an Organic Waste Facility and ensure delivery to identified processors of the materials to ensure that the materials meet industry specifications, including PAS 100 quality standards for the output products from these materials.
