Tender description

The purpose of the investigation is to assist in determining the ground conditions and existing utilities for rearrangement of existing junction and construction of new road on embankment, structural embankment, and structurally elevated road. The works involved in this Ground Investigation project shall include but not be limited to: 1) Excavation of 4 no. slit trenches to an indicative depth of 1.5m bgl. 2) Excavation of 19 no. trial pits 4m deep. 3) Excavation of 11 no. rotary core boreholes to an indicative depth of 25m (at least 3m into bedrock). 4) 19 no. plate load tests and 19 no. CBR tests to be carried out in the base of the trial pits.
