Individual domiciliary care package in Peterlee

<p>The client is a 92-year-old gentleman, who lives on his own in a bungalow at Peterlee. The client has been in an Intermediate Care Bed on the 19th January 2021 to help progress his reduced mobility following a recent fall at home. The client has a medical history of History of heart attack, Sciatica, Patella Replacement, Enlarged prostate, Arthritis, History of falls, Diagnosis of OCD and Alzheimer&rsquo;s Disease. The client has his bloods monitored at hospital on a regular basis as he suffers from Factor 7 deficiency which is a thinning of the blood. He has had a previous carpel tunnel operation and has limited movement in his left arm still. He currently requires the assistance of 2 people and uses his zimmer frame for all transfers, he can be unbalanced on first standing up. He can walk short distance with the assistance of 2 people using his frame. He requires support from carers with all ADL&rsquo;s personal care, dressing, toileting, cooking, cleaning, ironing and shopping. This gentleman did not have any package of care prior four times a day prior to admission but he only required one care at this time. Due to this client&rsquo;s OCD, he is very repetitive when completing personal care tasks, for example, he will wash his hands repeatedly. Client was last swabbed for COVID on the 22nd January 2021 and was negative, this was a routine test and he has shown no symptoms of COVID. The client requires 6 x 45 minutes morning calls with 2 carers for bed transfers, washing, dressing, toileting and breakfast and 1 x 90minute morning call with 2 carers for support with bed transfers, showering, dressing, toileting and breakfast. He will require a 7 x 30minute call with 2 carers on a lunch and 7 x 30-minute call with 2 carers at teatime for support with meals preparation and toileting. He will require 7 x 40minute evening calls with 2 carers for support with getting ready for bed, supper, and bed transfers. He will also require 1 carer to provide an additional 1 hour per week for ironing housework/ironing and 1 hour 30 minutes per week shopping.</p> Keywords: home, care
