Tender description

Construction of new public park including external stairs, improvements to streetscape, hard landscaping, soft landscaping and associated site works. Works will include: • Hard landscaping of a new public park with series of external steps rising from John Street to St Marys Church. • Network of new stone paved & concrete footpaths, new stone paved terraces and handrails. • Alteration to underground services (drainage and ducting) and overground services. • Regrading of sections of the site to create new site levels and the formation of soft landscaping areas. • Improvements to the public realm within John Street, High Hill Street and Chapel Lane area with upgraded pedestrian facilities and modifications to car parking arrangements. • Soft landscaping - Planting of trees, hedges and plants, in the areas between the network of new stone paved & concrete footpath. • Works to retaining walls. • Provision of public lighting and signage.
