Provision of services for project officer for Pilot Results-based Agri-environment Payment Scheme (RBPS) in the Northwest of Ireland

Tender description

Wild Atlantic Nature seeks tenders for the position of project officer on the RBPS pilot. The project officer will assist in the development and adaption of the approach of successful programmes such as the Burren Programme, Hen Harrier Project and Pearl Mussel Project and other EIPs. The RBPS project officer will provide support to farmers and agricultural advisors, who carry out the scoring. The RBPS project officer will work with, and be supported by, the Wild Atlantic Nature project team whose role includes administrative, IT and mapping, communication, dissemination and exploitation, and ecological expertise. The RBPS project officer will also be required from time to time to engage in community outreach activities such as presentations at events, preparation of communication and dissemination materials or assistance with grant proposals. It is expected that the contractor will be available as a full-time equivalent. Depending on the framework of the Ireland’s CAP Strategic Plan, which is due to be drafted by July 2021 and due to be implemented in January 2023, the exact design of the Wild Atlantic Nature RBPS may vary in terms of the area of coverage and the number of farmers involved in the pilot phase
