PIN for the establishment of cooperation teams as part of the CAP Strategic Plan in Ireland

This PIN is to notify that the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM) expects to visit the market in the coming months with a range of interventions which will form part of the new CAP Strategic Plan that will commence on 1 January 2023. The proposed national Agri Environment and Climate Measure (AECM) will have a double structure: • General option – offering a general menu of options available to all farmers, and • Co-operative option – centered on results-based actions and offering additional bespoke farm and landscape measures to farmers in identified high priority areas. It involves a scaling-up of the EIP locally led approach across 8 zones. This PIN notice relates to the Co-operative option. For more, see etenders.gov.ie. For interventions that are managed through the co-operative option, the menu of options will be co-designed and implemented for the term of the CSP by a number of Co-Operation Project (CP) Teams, working under the Co-operation Article 77 of the CSP Regulation covering this proposed programme. Measures under this menu will be targeted at Natura, high nature value (HNV) farmland areas and High Status Water Bodies, to contribute to delivering national biodiversity targets with co-benefits for climate and water at landscape scale.
