Tender description

Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) intends to establish a number of Multi Party Framework Agreements for design consultants as separate disciplines in various Lots. The design consultants will act together as multi-disciplinary design teams for various projects and for other design related requirements arising within a 4 year period from the establishment of the Framework in 2021. The nature of design services will include, but is not limited to, full and partial construction related design services, technical advisory services, outline development control planning, master planning, traffic and transportation planning, feasibility studies, procurement support and general advisory services, project analysis, floor area analysis, surveys, audits, reports etc. Expressions of Interest are invited from each of the following: Lot 1 - Architectural Design Services; Lot 2 - Quantity Surveying Services; Lot 3 - Civil/Structural Engineering Design Services; Lot 4 -Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Design Services; Lot 5 – Project Supervisor Design Process Services (PSDP). Each consultant will be engaged directly by LYIT and once appointed will work as part of a team with the other consultant disciplines under the leadership of the project Architect or other consultant as appropriate. The Framework will be established on foot of an initial contract will be for the provision of design services for the deep energy efficiency retrofit of a 1,200m2 rooftop extension to the main educational building on the Letterkenny campus. Other projects which may be awarded under the Framework include a new multi-pitch sports facilities development, construction and extension/refurbishment of academic, research, recreational, enterprise/innovation, utility, office or other buildings and external works.
