Tender description
The contracting entity intends to procure design and build services for the Cloncreen Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Balance of Plant (BOP) works. The Company intends to construct a 25MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) consisting of 30MWh to 55MWh battery storage capacity in modular form with associated infrastructure on a site at Ballykilleen, Co. Offaly, Ireland. The 0.64ha site is approximately 5 kilometers southwest of Edenderry and contained entirely within Cloncreen Wind Farm which is currently under construction. It is a requirement that the technology supplied be capable of achieving Irish Grid Code compliance for DS3 system services.
