A full mental health assessment has been undertaken and the outcome is that there is no underlying mental health conditions.

Male is now medically fit for discharge. Males responsible clinician and team have offered to offer any advice/support required on Males transition to a new placement.

Male is suffering with severe attachment difficulties and does require a period to settle post discharge from hospital where he and others can be kept safe whilst work is undertaken to try and reduce Males anxiety and re-engage him back into the community. He has received a certificate in recognition for his commitment to education.

Male wants to live somewhere he can feel secure and listened too. He has never felt important nor valued and is desperate to feel this now. Male has had a lot of loss in his young life (birth mother/1st set of adoptive parents (both died) and to some extent his 2nd set of adoptive parents who have little input into his day to day life at the moment.

Male reports that having two members of staff with him makes him feel safe and if this was withdrawn then he would become overly anxious and distressed which would result in Male significantly hurting himself or others.

Please contact placementsearches@wigan.gov.uk for a full referral and further information.
Keywords: Placement , Care , Support, Therapeutic, Child
