Tender description

The Reserves are an essential component of our national security, our future forces and success on operations. At the beginning for the Future Reserves 2020 (FR20) program - V3me, the Defence Medical Services (DMS) commissioned research to identify the number of specialist Civilian Healthcare Professionals (HCP) working in the NHS and where in the UK individual specialties (niche roles) were concentrated. The results helped inform the DMS Reserves Recruiting, Retention Strategy and Plan (R3S&P). Reserve Forces 2030 (RF30) anticipates an increased role for the Reserves which, combined with the expected outcome of the Integrated Review, is expected to a greater and more diverse use of the DMS Reserves. The requirement is to carry out a comprehensive survey and analysis of survey results on DMS’ behalf about attitudes of NHS specialist HCPs in the Generation Y age group towards joining the Medical Reserves. The Contractor consider the following groups of NHS clinicians within their analysis: a. Doctors b. Nurses. c. Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs).
