For further information please visit About us - Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Defra has an Environmental Targets programme which is developing a proposed suite of long-term, legally binding environmental targets to meet requirements in the Environment Bill. The Environmental Targets Programme will launch a public consultation on proposed environmental targets expected in February 2022. The consultation is a crucial step in helping inform our evidence-led target-setting process by hearing a range of views on the ambition and achievability of target proposals. The aim of this project is for an external organisation to carry out comprehensive, accurate and timely analysis of consultation responses. Detailed and thorough analysis of the consultation responses will be considered as Defra finalises target proposals and prepares a government response to consultation.
