Developing dementia data in Wales

Social Care Wales is currently in the process of reviewing the tools used to provide data, knowledge, and insight about social care in Wales in line with their Strategic Approach for Social Care Data in Wales. Aims and objectives: We are seeking a Supplier to assist us in developing data assets that can be used in a publicly accessible data discovery tool that is due for launch in April 2022. We are specifically seeking data on the following theme: - Data on individuals living with dementia in Wales. Priority should be given to developing routinely updated aggregate data wherever possible. Where necessary, Social Care Wales must be able to obtain permission from any 3rd party data publisher to import these data into our own tools either through an API or via manual upload. What is required / ‘The Requirements’ Knowledge and experience that would be beneficial to this role are: - Expert knowledge of high-quality sources of data on the topics outlined above. - Experience of developing datasets relating to health or care. - Experience or knowledge of technical aspects of automated data capture. - Methodical and organised and able to work to deadlines - Ability to communicate technical matters in an accessible (Plain English) format - Familiarity with data sharing processes would be helpful See Specification for further details
